Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association

For years, the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association counted on a large multi-national Internet provider, along with local network support, to provide its IT solutions before finally tiring of the endless string of bureaucracy.

"When we had a problem we would call one number, then get switched to another and another and another before finally talking to someone who would say 'I'm not sure it's us,' " said Sam Asusa, the GTHBA director of finance. "It seemed like someone was always passing the buck."

Asusa said the GTHBA became frustrated and needed a change. It needed a smaller, more flexible company which could provide complete end-to-end solutions. The GTHBA found what it needed when it switched to ABS in 2000.

"Now I make one call to ABS, tell them we have a problem, that something is not working and they take care of it," Asusa said. "There is no more passing the buck."

Asusa said the greatest advantages of ABS has been its innovation, its commitment to pro-active solutions and a dedication to improvement. "ABS has been great. I am always looking for ways to improve our systems, not just its maintenance. They listen carefully and make sure the solutions, they recommend have been tested and make economic sense. As a non-profit organization, this is extremely important to us."
